Transport Assessment
Our staff have experience of both preparing Transport Assessments and appraising those submitted as part of the planning process on behalf of local authorities. Examples of commissions undertaken include:
- Providing advice to Sefton Council on Development Control issues associated with planning applications. Tasks included the appraisal of Transport Assessments for large retail, residential and tourism facilities.
- Preparation of Transport Assessments in connection with:
- School site on behalf of Blackburn-with-Darwen Council.
- Leisure Centre Development for Sefton Council.
- Proposed Quarries for both Tarmac (Central) Ltd and RMC (UK) Ltd.
- Residential Developments ranging from 75 to 300 dwellings.
- Oswaldtwistle Mills retail outlet and tourism attraction.
- Review of Transport Assessments prepared for proposals in the East Runcorn Development Area, followed by the development of a Sustainable Transportation Strategy (including Funding Mechanisms) for the area on behalf of Halton Council, English Partnerships and the North West Development Agency.
